Spring News Letter 2020 🌸

Wow, what a crazy and unpredictable time the last few months have been. It has been a truly challenging time for all of us. The Solo team have adapted well to working from home to ensure business continues as normal, we regularly use video calls to keep in touch with each other. Emma T our Business Administrator has been making sure we look after our Mental Health by sending regular tips, thank you Emma! Our CRMs are working closely with clients and employees to ensure people feel safe and supported during these difficult times. At the beginning of April, we launched a new employee handbook. It’s online therefore more environmentally friendly as well as easier to access. Sadly, last month we said goodbye to Debbie Russell - Senior Client relations Manager - we were sorry to see her go and wish her well for the future! We have also welcomed Helen Hoyland to the Solo team, Helen is joining our Third Party team of Client Relations Managers - everyone at head office is really looking forward to meeting Helen in person and not via the computer screen! We would like to congratulate Helen Brown, Business Manager and Emily Dennett, Operations Manager, who celebrate 8 years’ service with the company, Lauren Cruz, Payroll and Finance Administrator, 4 years’ service and Chloe Spencer, Finance Administrator, 2 years’ service. Solo as a company turned 9. We’re looking forward to celebrations once lockdown is lifted. We would like to say another thank you and pay tribute to the work of our Care and Support Workers who don’t often get the recognition they truly deserve. There has never been a time where Solo's front line workforce, as well as employees of our Direct Payment clients, have demonstrated such commitment to their roles as well as compassion and selflessness in their continued hard work. On behalf of our clients, Directors and head office staff, thank you so much for your dedication and continued efforts to provide a continued high standard of support during these difficult times. Thank you for reading – stay safe!
