Learning at Work Week 📚

This week is the annual Learning at Work Week. At Solo we promote a lot of extra learning at work, and as you will see even in the past few months we have been busy with training...

Sonia is currently doing her Level 3 Diplomas in Business Administration, and is due to finish this towards the end of the year, and is busy working on her assignments alongside her role as Office Administrator.

At the start of May Steph, our Registered Manager, and Helen, our Business Manager, attened Managing the Unmanagebale run by ACAS. This was to provide Managers with the Skills, and understanding to deal with more challenging members of staff. Helen will also been attending another course next month for Mental First Aid at Work. Mental Health is something that we are all becoming more aware of and talking more about, and is espcially important when it comes to supporting employees at work. We look forward to hearing what Helen learns from this course. In April Ingrid, our Payroll Manager,  attended a two day Payroll Management Course in London, run by the Chartered Institue Payroll Professionals. At the start of the year, Anna and Helen K, attended a training day focused on the new recruitment campaign form the Department of Health and Social Care, which is a great campaign focusing on getting more people into our sector.

As well as this, all employees at Solo across all departments are required to take part in various training courses annually, this ensures that all staff members have the same up-to-date foundation of training and a minimum level of knowledge.
