About Me
I’m a young man who enjoys being outdoors, exploring new places, meeting people, and spending time with my family and care team. I live with complex health needs and need dedicated support to help me live a safe, healthy, and fulfilling life. I can sometimes experience behaviours of distress, so I’m looking for calm, patient, and understanding people who can provide reassurance, consistency, and positive support during these times.
The Role
As part of my support team, you will support me with all aspects of daily living, including:
- Personal care
- Medication administration
- Moving and handling
- Community access and outdoor activities
- Providing emotional reassurance and support during periods of distress
- Using positive behaviour support strategies to help me feel safe, calm, and engaged
This role requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, recognise triggers and changes in behaviour, and respond with patience, empathy, and confidence. Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of distress or complex care needs would be beneficial, but full specialist training and ongoing support will be provided.

Confidently supporting someone with behaviours of distress
Calm, patient, and able to respond positively in challenging situations
Comfortable supporting personal care and mobility needs
Active and enthusiastic about the outdoors and keeping busy
Fluent in English due to my communication needs I need two care workers with at all times, so you will have to be a great team player.
Most importantly, you will be someone who can build trust, provide reassurance, and help create a positive and supportive environment.
