ABOUT THE ROLE

I am a man in my 30’s who suffered a severe cardiac arrest in May 2010 which resulted in a severe Hypoxic Brain injury. My amazing wife and family have supported me since the accident as I have complex needs. It has been determined that I do not have capacity so my wife will need be my point of contact for me. I had a very active life and had a great interest in outdoor activities such as mountain biking. I still like to do some outdoor activities, when possible, with my wife and family such as day trips, going to the local park, going for long walks, etc.

I have a wide range of care needs which include: personal care, moving and handling, continence care, catheter care and nutrition and hydration. My family assist with my medication.

ABOUT YOU

As the role is for a Bank PA, they must be flexible with their hours and be willing to work last minute with reasonable notice. Previous experience is ideal but not a requirement. The PA must be adaptive, practical and have an incredibly positive attitude.

You will be required to complete training which will enable you to support me with my personal care routine in the morning. You will be expected to build an open and trusting relationship with me as an individual and learn how to communicate with me effectively always taking direction from my wife and family.

BENEFITS
