We are looking for a positive, reliable, and sensitive person to join our great team looking after a lovely 26-year-old women. Her rare genetic condition means she is cortically blind, has intractable epilepsy and uses a wheelchair. She is happy, warm and sociable. She loves to be out and about and enjoys music, dancing, massage, cafes, yoga, walks, good food and swimming. She communicates non-verbally. She lives in her own flat and is supported by a team of support workers.
The candidate must have experience, and be a confident driver. It would be useful to have previous experience working with people with learning difficulties and epilepsy, although, full training will be given to the right person. The position is to provide care and support, with additional focus on enrichment and activities coordination.
Part Time Position: -24 hours per week, a combination of day and waking night shifts
Hourly rates: £14 per hour weekdays and £15 per hour weekend days, weeknights £14 per hour and weekend night hours £16 per hour, plus 6-weeks holiday pay. Bank holidays are paid at double time.
Flexibility: with additional hours to cover holidays and sickness as required
Experience: 2 years (Preferred) Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Required)

Training: An excellent training package is available to ensure you are trained to the highest standards. Working as part of the Solo Support Services organisation will also give you access to a supportive company who promote person centered practice.
