Personal Assistant: 5 regular hours per week, plus ad-hoc hours to cover for holidays and sickness.

I am a happy, young 44-year-old gentleman with cerebral Palsy and complex epilepsy which effects my daily living. I have a wonderful team of 9 Personal assistants who support me 24hours per day to remain living independently in my own home. My team support me within the home, to access the community and provide overnight support. We are now looking for a bank worker to support the team with covering holidays and sickness.
Could you be the person to support?
You will need to be a calm, tolerant person, flexible and unphased in extreme situations with a kind and happy approach. I require 2:1 support well as 1:1 as I have cerebral palsy and epilepsy along with other complex needs which you will learn about.
You will be supported by the team and will get to know my unique set of requirements, covering all personal and medical care as well as support with daily living & household tasks, as well as simply getting to know me- at my own pace and supporting me in the community to continue to enjoy my interests. You will be required to get to know myself and the team- through meetings, shadowing, and a bespoke training programme. You will receive all mandatory training and specialised training annually.
Requirements of the Post:

· Experience: 2 years (preferred)
· Desirable but not essential- experience in supporting people with epilepsy.
· Desirable but not essential- Driver
Personal Assistant Position: Covering 5 regular hours per week, plus ad-hoc hours to covering holidays at 4 weeks’ notice and sickness where possible.
Salary: Day rate £13.00 per hour and Overnight rate £10.42 per hour Bank holidays are paid at tithe standard hourly rate.
Paid training. Employees are also able to join the Company Pension scheme after 3 months’ service, subject to the rules of the scheme, as well as our Cash Back Health Plan after completion of a successful probation period.
Hours: To be discussed at interview, hours of work can include working; days, evenings, overnights, and weekends– across 7- day week pattern by arrangement, Mon- Sun.
Flexibility: Additional hours to cover holidays at four week’s notice and sickness as required.
