I am a young lady living at home within the community. I enjoy socialising with my friends and I am very close to my family who lead in my care and support. I lead a busy life and enjoy taking part in social activities and attending regular groups activities weekly.
Due to a Global Development Delay from birth, resulting in severe disability and complex health issues I need support and prompting in achieving all of the above to remain as independent as possible. My health needs are complex, I am therefore looking for a support worker who will be able to support me on a part time/ bank basis including weekends and evening and the occasional night, being paid at £10.00 per hour, rising after a successful probation period and completion of training.
Successful candidates must be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends and occasional sleep night shifts. A full UK driving license is essential.
The ideal candidate needs good communication skills, learning my preferred way of communication whilst being patient, flexible friendly and punctual. You need to be a good listener, trustworthy and highly organised as well as honest, caring and outgoing, with an attitude of doing this 'with' me and not for "me".
Experience in health care will be ideal, full and up to date training will be given. You will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS and provide references to be considered for the position.
