Job Detail

Nailsea, South West

An opportunity has arisen to support three young adults in their own home for 20 hours per week. Applicants must be flexible and able to work weekday (including evenings), alternative weekend, sleep nights and as required waking nights.

Each young adult requires their own support with health or social care tasks, but you will be required to learn about all three and be able to support all of them. Our clients enjoy spending time with their friends and family, looking after their purpose-built house, being active and listening to music or watching TV. However, the reality is that they need the support of individuals, who pride themselves on high standards of support, to live their life and to do the things they love.

It is important that they spend time with people who understand their ways in which they view the world and communicate and ways in which everyday life can worry and cause them anxiety. Without the support of a genuinely caring, trustworthy, and committed team of individuals they will not be able to achieve this.

The right individuals will have a natural caring nature and be able to provide sensitive understanding of their needs. They all enjoy a varied life, so flexibility is essential. Most importantly they want to enjoy a life that is as full of the 'ordinary' as possible and want people in their life who both appreciate this and can work with this in their day-to-day support for them.

Good communication with them and their family is also very important.
