I am a young lady living in rural Suffolk with my parents, dog and ponies. I have complex physical disabilities and require assistance with all aspects of daily living. My favorite things to do are looking after my pony and playing Boccia. I also enjoy baking and getting out and about – watching horse events, musicals at the theatre, walking my dog or just visiting different places and checking out the best hot chocolate!

I have a lovely team of support workers alongside support from my parents and currently looking to expand my team on a part time basis up to 20 hours a week. Shifts typically start at 7am and will include weekends, there will be some overnight stays included as I travel around the UK for Boccia competitions.

The ideal person would be caring, patient, reliable and be genuinely enthusiastic to work with me to learn my routines. Good communication and familiarity with individuals involved in my care is important to me. You need to be proactive to ensure tasks are completed and to encourage me to arrange and engage with different activities.

Benefits Include

Hourly pay: weekdays £14.00 per hour / Weekends £16.00 per hour.

The opportunity to accompany me on holidays in the UK.

Additional payments for bank holiday working.

Overnight payments as required.


Responsibilities 

·Support me with all aspects of personal care. 

·Support me with all aspects of nutrition and medication via my PEG.

· Ensure safe moving and handling is always completed.

· Support with animal care (dog/ponies)

Essential

· To be able to work independently and alongside other members of my support team.

· To have a good understanding of physical and mental health conditions and how these impacts on my day to day lived experience

· To have good written and verbal English communication to support with any paperwork, household tasks etc

· To hold a full UK driving license.

· To be happy working around animals (dog/ponies) and assist with their care in all weathers. 

 A positive attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn

· Due to the nature of role female applications only.

Desirable

· Care experience – full training will be provided.

· Knowledge of the autistic spectrum. 


 5.6 weeks holiday is awarded per year as standard (pro rata for part time positions). Employees are also able to join the Company Pension scheme after 3 months’ service, subject to the rules of the scheme, as well as our Cash Back Health Plan after completion of a successful probation period.
