Kirkby-in-Ashfield, East Midlands
I am a 12 year old boy with a progressive and degenerative life-limiting illness and have a range of complex health needs. I live at home with my parents and 2 siblings. I attend a nearby school and have a large close family who are important to me.
Due to my condition I need support during the day and night as well as weekends and holidays. My complex health needs require regular and consistent support to maintain my well-being, enable me to attend school and enjoy my life with my family. You will need to be able to work as part of a team and take direction from a team leader as well as my parents and other health professionals who are involved in my care.
I have an accessible vehicle which allows me to travel with both my family and care support. The open policy of insurance also allows for 2 carers to take me out on trips without my family.
I am looking to build a team of PA’s to support me in my own home and also when I am out in my community, socially or attending activities with my family. Health experience is preferable as is experience of working with children but not absolutely essential. A full clean driving licence and willingness to drive my accessible vehicle would also be preferable.
Full training will be provided. I am looking for full time and part time PA’s to work contracted hours. Holidays will be paid pro-rata and if you are eligible for a Pension you will be enrolled after 3 months. The hourly rate will be £10/hour.
