I am a middle aged male adult living in my own home. I have been living with progressive Multiple sclerosis for many years. I have a close relationship with my family and like them to be involved in my care and I see them as often as I can. I also have a cat who I am very fond of. I like to socialise and when I am well I enjoy being out and about in my community.
Due to my Multiple sclerosis I require support 24 hours per day. I need support for daily living which includes personal care. I also need support with more clinical tasks, like my PEG, as well as hoisting me and supporting me with my non-invasive ventilation. I will need support to access my community.
The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple sclerosis but equally full training will be provided. You will need a clean driving licence to be able to drive my van and be fit and healthy to support my needs which will include moving and handling support. You will be flexible to meet my needs, working days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. I am looking for part time support. You will need to be able to work as a team, supporting each other to cover holidays and any sickness. You will need to take direction from me, as well as from the health professionals involved in my care. You will be employed by Solo Support services who will manage my package of care.
You will be paid £11/hour as well as 28 days holiday worked out pro-rata. After a successful 3 months, if eligible you will be enrolled onto our pension scheme.
