I am a young lady with Rett Syndrome, living at home with my family in the Sutton in Ashfield area of Nottinghamshire. I am looking for caring individuals to join my current team, supporting me with most day-to-day tasks in order for me to live my life to the full.

 

The ideal candidate would be: enthusiastic, patient, have experience in supporting individuals with a learning disability, strong communication skills, have a caring nature, trustworthy, respectful, take direction and possesses a genuine commitment to the role.

You will be required to assist me with all aspects of personal care including PEG feeding, PEG care and administering medication. You will also be required to support me to access day centres and other activities. It is really important that we get on well as companionship is a key element to this role. Experience working with someone with complex needs and supporting them in their own home is essential. You must also hold a full clean UK driver’s license and be 25 years old or over due to motability insurance policy requirements.  

 

Hours: Waking night shifts, - rotated each week. Each shift is 12 hours- 8:30pm-8:30am. There will be a requirement to pick up day shifts as cover is required within the team to cover holidays and sickness by arrangement. Regular overtime available.

Rate of Pay: £9.00 per hour- leading to £10.40 per hour for day shifts and £11.75 for night shifts after successful probation period

Flexibility of working hours is important and covering holidays, sickness as required.
