I am a 26-year-old women, living in my own home. I have a rare genetic condition which means I am cortically blind, have intractable epilepsy and use a wheelchair. I am happy, warm and sociable. I love to be out and about, enjoy music, dancing, massage, cafes, yoga, walks, good food and swimming. I communicate non-verbally. I am supported by a team of support workers who provide 24-hour assistance. I am looking for someone who will be happy to provide 1-1 support. The candidate must have experience of working in a health, social, education or a family care setting and be reliable, dependable, caring and motivated. The candidate must be an excellent communicator and be able to liaise with the management company and family. Previous experience working with people with learning difficulties and epilepsy is essential as well as being a confident driver with, a full driving licence.
Days of work: Monday, Friday, Sunday with some flexibility for the right candidate, we also expect flexibility in return
The rate of pay will be: £14.00 per hour Monday- Friday days, £15.00 per hour Saturday & Sunday days, Sunday- Thursday nights £14.00 per hour, Friday & Saturday nights £16.00 per hour.
