Droitwich, West Midlands
I am a middle-aged man living in my own home. I require support with personal care and other domestic chores around the home. My parents visit me often and are a big part of my life although they are ageing and need to take a rest and just be parents. I enjoy socialising, I have a good sense of humour once I get to know you and I have several hobbies based around Sci-fi and World War 2 films.
I am looking for friendly reliable support workers who will support me in my home, taking direction from me to help me to keep safe and to keep my home organised. I will require you to cook me a hot meal, to show interest in my hobbies, to motivate and prompt me to complete tasks independently to allow me to gain my confidence. You will be employed by an agency on my behalf but take direction from me and my parents who visit often.
The ideal candidate will have caring experience, be sociable but know when to keep quiet, organised, reliable and flexible. You need to be able to work on your own, taking direction but at the same time keeping me safe and thinking on your feet. Full training will be provided. The hourly rate is £10 per hour plus holiday pay and pension contributions. The hours I am looking for are any of the following – 8am-10am in the morning, 12pm-13pm and then half an hour in the evening from 4pm-4.30pm.
